User Content: We collect and store the gratitude items you save, personal reflections you write, custom categories you create, and language preferences.

Communications: If you contact us, we collect the information you send (for example, your name, email address, and message content).

B) Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the App (for example, app screens visited, features used, and interactions such as swiping activity).

Device & App Information: We may collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, and approximate region (derived from system settings).

Identifiers (Non-Tracking): We may generate and store a random app instance identifier (or similar non-personal identifier) to help maintain functionality, security, and analytics.

We do not collect Advertising ID / IDFA for tracking purposes unless explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy.

C) Guest Mode (Try-Before-Signup)

If you use the App without creating an account ("Guest Mode"), your gratitude items and preferences are stored locally on your device (for example, in app local storage). Guest Mode data is not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to create an account and sync your data.

Guest Mode data may be deleted if you:

• uninstall the App,
• clear the App's storage,
• reset your device, or
• use any in-app "clear guest data" function (if available).

2) How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• provide, operate, maintain, and improve the App
• create and manage accounts
• save and sync your gratitude collection across devices (for registered users)
• personalize your experience (for example, language preferences)
• respond to questions, support requests, and feedback
• send important service or technical messages (for example, security or outage notices)
• detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues
• analyze usage to improve features and performance

3) How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in these cases:

A) With Your Consent

If you choose to share a gratitude card or content to a social media platform, the content you share will be processed under that platform's privacy policy.

B) Service Providers (Processors)

We may share limited information with vendors that help us operate the App (for example, hosting, authentication, analytics, and crash reporting). These vendors are authorized to process information only to provide services to us, and they are required to protect it.

C) Legal & Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

• comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable request
• protect the rights, property, and safety of Grateful Today, our users, or others
• prevent fraud, security issues, or abuse

4) Data Storage, Security, and Protection

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Where supported and appropriate, we use:

• encryption in transit (e.g., TLS), and
• encryption at rest for stored data.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-accepted practices.

5) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Registered users:

• We retain account and user content while your account is active.
• If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your account data from active systems.

Guest users:

• Guest Mode data remains on your device unless you delete it (see Guest Mode section above).

6) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain privacy rights.

Access & Update

You can access and update certain account details and preferences through the App.

Delete Your Content

You can delete individual gratitude items or reflections inside the App.

Delete Your Account (In-App)

You can delete your account inside the App by going to:
Profile → Delete Account .

When you delete your account, your stored content will be deleted as described in Data Retention.

Data Portability

You can request a copy of your data by contacting us at info@gratefultoday.app.

7) Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@gratefultoday.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8) International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, including where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when transferring information.
